             **** My  Review ****

It took me a while to organize my thoughts after reading this book. It was kind of hard for me to put together a review. The story did not excite me. Nor did anything, in particular, bother me. It was quite an acceptable read for a relaxed afternoon.

Tempt The Hookup by Natasha Madison failed to surprise me with its uniqueness or novelty in literary works. I do not know exactly what I expected, but certainly not what I got.

But it managed to relax me. ‘Tempt The Hookup’ is light and funny story with no angst or drama. Perfect choice if you want to spend some time relaxing with a book.

In the beginning, we go back to the past, young and crazy college years, students on a well-deserved vacation after hard exams. Young ladies and gentlemen, excessive amounts of alcohol, and no adult supervision … everything is allowed, just give your first names, accept the no personal attachment policy and embark on the crazy adventure. Luke and Ellie are just one more couple of lust-crossed lovers on a booze-student cruise. Four extraordinary days, intertwined bodies, lustful sighs, and incredible attraction…. only that is allowed, isn’t it?
But every deed has consequences, sometimes the impossible becomes possible, and two bodies create something special. What will happen when the past comes rushing with all its secrets? When the names are told for the first time, even though the bodies remember one another after so many years?

The topic of a secret baby/pregnancy is quite a common topic in the literature, but I liked this story for its humour and touch of comedy. The dialogues themselves are well composed, and the events involving little Aiden and his childhood perceptions of things around him simply made me laugh to tears.
Tempt the Hookup was so easy to follow, without burdening the reader with some difficult mental exercises and themes. Yes, some parts were extremely far-fetched to me and far from relevant, such as the 7-year-long celibacy. Also, Luca being able to recognize that the boy is his by just one look was downright absurd.

Yet the story was quite interesting to make me continue reading. The double narrative was quite solid. The thoughts of the two of them were perfectly intertwined, allowing the reader to see the perspectives of the two main characters. Luke and Eli are well-built and presented in a great way, as independent and strong characters, with a small dose of dominance on his part. The side characters were great and contribute greatly to the success of the whole story. The description and subtly added details are one more plus for the story.

Finally, anyone who needs to enjoy an interesting book that relaxes and does not burden you in any way should choose to Tempt The Hookup by Natasha Madison.
