About

I am Anna Dushan, also known as The Nerdy Mom, and I created the Book Blog Lost In Bookland. While I have many roles and layers that define me, being a mother to my three wonderful kids is the most significant responsibility I have. They are my entire world and top priority.

My husband is my knight in shining armor, and although he may not always understand me, he supports my passion for book collecting, which I consider to be a distinct interest from reading books.

Professionally, I am an English language and literature teacher, currently on maternity leave. With my diverse experiences and interests, I am a complex and multifaceted individual.

Let me tell you a bit more about my work experience. I have graduated from the BK Faculty of Philology (BA in English Language and Literature), and I have been actively teaching English Language and Literature for more than 13 years.

Throughout the years, I have taught students from all grades. I have managed to accumulate valuable experience in implementing various teaching techniques in the teaching process, all with the sole purpose to contribute to making the learning of the English language enjoyable, memorable, and high-quality-oriented.

In the last few years, I have also been involved in several different educational initiatives and projects that try to promote the importance of reading and the value of books in the development of children and adolescents.

I enjoy traveling in the world of fantasy, through the written word. I love to discover new authors, and still, stay true to my favorites. I like to experiment with genres and look for books that push me out of my comfort zone. But somehow, romances are the closest to my heart, especially those set in some distant time.

I started this blog from my need of sharing my passion, my views, thoughts, and reviews in connection with the books I read…
