Well, after reading the ‘Merciless’ series, I became well aware that Willow Winters is a master of dark romance storytelling. But after discovering this gem, I am convinced that Willow is one amazing storyteller. She literally never stops to amaze and lure me with her gripping stories, leaving me totally sleep-deprived in the process.
‘Knocking Boots’- a tale of sweet, small-town love, sexy and utterly romantic grabbed my attention from the first page and didn’t let go until the very last sentence. Grace and Charlie , two totally opposite characters, yet somehow perfect for each other. She is a lovely, graphic designer, looking for her Mr. Right and happily ever after. He- sexy as sin bartender who is more interested into Right Now affairs. A small town, two flirty friends, lots of alcohol, one hotheaded bet….and the game may begin…. They say there is a little truth in every lie … How little is that?
Infatuation, madness, love, passion … all intertwined in a few imperfect moments of complete belonging that will simply take your breath away. Insecurity, jealousy and struggles added in perfect doses to make this story even more compelling and so relatable at the same time.
Yes, the talented Willow Winters author has again managed to create main characters who are so real and unique, and the supporting characters are shown in a perfectly appropriate proportion, so as not to bore the reader and take the emphasis away from the main characters, but at the same time contribute to the entirety of the story. The dual narrative is absolutely seamless, allowing the reader insights into both characters.
Plenty of cute, swoon-worthy moments, combined with the hot, steamy scenes make this book an absolute must-read. Captivating, yet so easy to follow, it is definitely perfect choice for super relaxing read.
