**** My Review ****

Wounded Kiss by Willow Winters

After my obsession with the ‘Twilight’ series over a decade ago, I believed I was done with this genre for good. And coming from Willow Winters, this type of book, was a real surprise to me. But since she has a permanent place on my ‘WHATEVER THIS AUTHOR WRITES, I’LL READ’ list, I had to give it a chance. And believe me, that NEVER…ever would I have believed that I’d be hooked the minute I picked this book up…Hypnotic…Spellbinding…Literally, I couldn’t quit until I finished it!

It all starts with two girls…one night, the night….the beginning and the end of everything, a night of terrible unrest, but also a serenity in the things they so desperately want, yet do not understand. The story of two girls, united by the cruelty of their pasts, best friends, starting a life that is about to end as such….They frantically want to find the darkest place, to hide, but there is no hiding from the dark cloaks. Those piercing silver eyes manage to locate them even before they realized they need to hide. No way back, escape is impossible, and all unspoken truths and lies are revealed…The questions confuse them, yet they are afraid of the answers. The pull is simply unbearable, they start to lose their strength and the will to fight against the windmills…they bow…

We are used to be delighted by her contemporary and dark romances and she again manages to enchant us with this paranormal world she has created. Her writing style of absolute perfection, and as I said in one of my previous reviews, Willow is the MASTER STORYTELLER. Compelling storyline, profound, yet easy to follow, and perfectly paced to keep the readers hooked until the very last words. Rare are those authors who manage to tell a story seamlessly using dual narrative, but Willow hit home run using multiple POVs that perfectly complement each other to make the story even more appealing. Fabulous character development and connection that is obvious from the beginning. The dominant, sexy alpha-male, who requires control in every aspect, and the dedicated, loyal and beautiful heroine, still strong enough to challenge and push the hero, testing and tempting him at every turn. And the betas…pure deliciousness, strong and dominant, yet gentle enough to be able to caress and heal their amazing, but broken mate.

And the hotness level of the book…let’s say it this way, I felt an irresistible urge to wake up my husband at 3 o’clock in the morning, right after I devoured the book . Well, he didn’t complain at all, and at least he gets to be right in his saying: ’ the thing you’re reading is not a book, it’s a f*cking porn’. Good thing is he won’t complain about the amount of money I spend on books 🙂

Let’s go back to Wounded Kiss by Willow Winters, I have no words to do this book justice. It is definitely something that no reader should miss. The author has so skillfully built that mystical world, which springs from charge and pure lust, it simply makes the pages burn with so much sensuality and eroticism…. I also have to admit that I am over the moon that this is only the beginning, the first glimpse into this engaging world. Otherwise, I would have thrown such a tantrum…. I’m sure my hubby looks forward to the next installment, too.
