**** My Review ****
Vi Keeland is one of my favorite authors, and that never disappoints me. Ever since I began to discover the magic of her books, I have appreciated more and more her wonderful ability to express a modern fairy tale that simply abounds with pure emotion and everyday love. Her words always flow so perfectly together and The Naked Truth was no different.
Although the number of love romances that appear every day is literally huge, The Naked Truth masterfully captures the tender emotion of two souls, two hearts joined in one, intertwining the past and the present, disappointment and seduction, rejection and attraction in such a unique way, which simply does not allow you to leave a book even after you have read the last words.
In the beginning, the readers meet Layla Hutton and become more and more aware that her refusal to indulge in love is like Don Quixote’s fight against the windmills. A strong, successful young lady who burrows into her own responsibilities to forget the feeling that caresses and burns her at the same time, that feeling of belonging and desire, the desire to be in his arms. Although the past did not go as expected, the mark of that unique feeling is there sometimes. Simply, the chances of turning her back on that obvious chemistry between them are absolutely minimal. And Gray Westbrook is absolutely, irresistibly perfect. The way he fights for the one he wants, the way he approaches her step by step, the way he talks to her … we are simply his allies from the very beginning.
“We’re not going to happen, Gray.” A slow smile stretched across his handsome face. “Yes, we are. You can fight it all you want.”
Keeland, V. (2019). In The naked truth. essay, Sperling & Kupfer.
The uniqueness of this character simply elevates him high on the list of the best heroes of romances. A man who knows how to love openly and sincerely, to desire fiercely, and to give himself without holding back. A hero who fights with his whole being for what he wants.
“We’re not over. We’re just getting started. Because what we had was real, and really doesn’t go away, no matter how much you want it to. ”
Keeland, V. (2019). In The naked truth. essay, Sperling & Kupfer.
Who, even in the moments when he gives up the great love, does it for her good.
The extraordinary mix of emotions, hot scenes, and interesting dialogues simply make this book a perfect choice for an amazing, yet relaxing read. ‘The Naked Truth’ is such a sweet, sexy, and addictive romance story. VI Keeland has just hit my 1 click list for all her upcoming books and made it to my favorite authors’ list.
