**** My Review ****
Minerva Spencer with her new novel ‘Notorious’ will lead you in the past, where one sassy wallflower lands the handsome rogue in one bittersweet romance that is certainly a very interesting beginning to what promises to be great series.
This tale is about a marriage of convenience, which is definitely often used in historical romance books, but the plot and definitely the characters are quite appealing and make this book unique in its own way. Drusilla Clare, confused by her own feelings and desires, burdened by her own insecurities is drawn to Gabriel Marlinton since the time she first lain eyes on him. So handsome and charming, a but hedonistic and arrogant, Gabriel had no intention at all to be ties up in a marriage of convenience. But destiny has other plans. The sexy rogue and the shrewish maiden end up married. Strong and sassy women were not really desirable brides in the past. But what if the hatred is just a mask? And the passion is way too powerful to be ignored? But what happens when she starts challenging and intriguing him at every turn? When all the problems and obstacles give way to new feelings and undeniable chemistry?
The realistic and well-developed characters, plus the well-integrated descriptions and details make this book a great read. With twists and turns on every corner and well-narrated plot, this story will certainly not bore the reader.
