**** My Review****
After reading Corrupt My Mind and discovered this gifted author, I was more than eagerly expecting the release of this new story. Did I drop everything just to read this book? Oh, you bet I did! The clock was ticking, the pages turning, page after page, chapter after chapter….Imagine my surprise, when I realized it was almost morning and I was devouring the last chapter…..So, you can probably tell I REALLY enjoyed this book!
One reckless decision and all reason is lost .. the mistake is irreparable, the pain is unbearable … and there is no solution. And it does no matter how much you look for a way out of that maze, out of the pain and destruction, you fail. Neither money nor power will be able to provide you with that little piece of peace you so desperately need. You just want to have a small corner, a small oasis of peace where you start the day… It may not make you smile every day, or delight you, but in any case, it will make you feel alive … But you don’t have the right to have even that… No forgiveness for the monster…. That’s the life of our broken hero. Once a famous and popular guy, the dream of many girls, now only a faint shadow of what he once was… A shadow that is fading slowly with every day …. And what will happen when the girl who is the beginning and the end of everything stands in front of him, seeing all his truths and broken promises? Does her love have the power to pull him out of the abyss and help him overcome the darkness that is trying to swallow him?
Change My Game is one amazing, emotional story that contains a perfect mixture of love and forgiveness, pain and joy, lust and bitterness, tears and smiles… A story that talks about love, but has such depths that, no matter how much you do not want it, it will provoke you to think deeper than expected. The author very skillfully fits topics that are not easy to read at all. Addiction, depression, terminal diseases, loss of a loved one, the meaning of true friendship, and the healing power of love … Every drop so perfectly expressed and fitted into the storm of emotions that this read will cause in you.
And a few sentences are not enough to express the greatness of her gift of words. Cleverly intertwined events, threads from the past and the present seamlessly intertwined and detailed descriptions are just part of the things that will make you feel like you are watching a movie. The perfectly composed dialogues are neither too long nor too short. Moreover, they fully portray the greatly developed characters.
Jace is a character who does not delight us at the beginning. An addict, a liar, a spoiled rich kid who simply does not deserve anyone’s respect or help. But as we slowly turn the pages, we begin to see the beauty of his soul, hidden deep beneath his harsh exterior and repulsive behaviour. A young man who suffers, broken by guilt and pain, but strong enough to stand up and face his demons.
Paige is a person who simply fascinates you with hеr kindness and humanity. A girl who, despite experiencing the most difficult moments in her life, without any hesitation embarks on an adventure to help her former friend. A girl who knows how to love and forgive. An amazing girl who knows when to give in, but also when to give up. The chemistry between them is absolutely off-the-charts, but what amazed me was the depth of the emotional connection between them. That connection innocently reminds of soul mates and eternal love. The supporting characters are also a great fit in the overall story, with enough clues to suggest another fantastic book in the series.
If you are looking for an emotional journey that will make you cry and laugh, then you definitely need to grab Change My Game as soon as possible and enjoy the spellbinding story that will seduce you and leave you panting for just one more page.
This is a great review! I’m putting this book on my TBR. 🙂
Unexpectedly, I really enjoyed this story, maybe because it was so different from what I usually read.
