My Kind of Perfect by Tracy Brogan
The description of a small island, a love triangle, and endearing characters piqued my interest right away, so what more could you ask for? The book’s attractive cover and synopsis also caught my attention. But as I flipped the pages, I could not help but be delighted with this lighthearted, flirtatious summer novel, which is full of humor, intriguing family dynamics, and endearing love dilemmas.
Since this is the first book I’ve read by this author, I have to say that the perfect balance of heart and comedy wowed me right away. Because it is a part of a series, I worried that I could miss some background action or facts, but after reading it, I can confidently declare that this book can be read alone without any issues.
The tale of Lilly, a young woman who believed she was in a wonderful relationship and living the perfect life with her older, wealthy partner before realizing she has nothing. She ends up alone and bewildered instead of having a family, a loving partner, and her happily ever after.
After the failed relationship, going back to Trillium Bay to try to take control of her life makes sense. Attending various intriguing family activities opens up fresh possibilities and adventures, as well as opportunities to make new friends. In a split second, our heroine must decide between two ideal men: a handsome movie star and a lovely and enticing yoga instructor. But which one is the right one?
Finding out who you are and what makes you happy in life is the theme of this uplifting tale. About the importance of learning from your errors and recognizing that making decisions that don’t result in what you want might help you figure out what you do want.
With lots of laugh-out-loud moments, funny banter, and a compelling narrative, the writing style is incredibly energizing, simple, and enjoyable.
You’ll be glued to the pages from the beginning to the conclusion because of the book’s appealing blend of amusing circumstances, quirky locals, chemistry, smart banter, and endearing characters.
In addition, Lily was a character I liked getting to know and understand. She occasionally had me wanting to slap her, but she managed to keep the plot moving with her smart, odd, and amusing ways. The romantic element was wonderful as Lily tried to find out where her love life was headed.
It is quite simple to imagine the enclave and the events that take place there thanks to the descriptive images supplied of the town and its residents.
The absence of drama and conflict in My Kind of Perfect by Tracy Brogan, which in my opinion is an essential component of any compelling novel, bothered me greatly. The main character’s choice between the several suitors and the selective rumor was the largest challenge, and I genuinely enjoy it when a novel is filled with intense scenes.
My Kind of Perfect by Tracy Brogan should be added to your reading list if you’re searching for a lighthearted, flirtatious summer novel that’s full of comedy, heart, family, and perhaps the ideal partner for Lilly Callaghan.
