***My Review***
Vi Keeland is one of the most well-liked authors in recent years for a reason. The art of Penelope Ward, a brilliant storyteller, combined with hers will undoubtedly leave readers speechless. It makes sense that the combination of their talents once more produced a genuine page-turner of the highest caliber.
Sadie, a talented and accomplished young journalist, is in charge of the Christmas Wishes section in addition to being a true dating force. She immediately establishes herself as an aspirational, tenacious, and responsible young girl.
However, what would happen if a surprise “Dear Santa…” letter shows up in the middle of the summer? a letter that truly set off an emotional hurricane inside of her and knocked her to the ground. Against her better judgment, she can’t hold back the impulse and keeps becoming entangled. But what can she do when the small girl’s requests seem more important than her common sense, when the intense connection she feels defies all reasoning, and when the sensations are intolerable?
She arrived at Sebastian Maxwell’s front door as a result of a series of events that began with one letter and continued with subsequent letters, acts, and even more letters. A safe haven for his little daughter, Birdie, is being built by the widower father who is trying to put together what is left following his wife’s passing. The gorgeous Sadie then emerges out of nowhere, and one small lie snowballs into another, and another, until the line between reality and fantasy is blurred.
Will her heart of compassion and fervor be able to penetrate Sebastian’s defenses? Will their attraction result in something more substantial and profound? What will occur when fate has its way with things?
Readers will be charmed by this single-dad romance, which has everything. The emotional complexity is both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. However, it should be highlighted that some of the details were completely unrealistic.
The writers did an incredible job of soothing the readers with enticing prose and sizzling chemistry that flows from the pages, all the while delving into difficult-to-read subjects like sorrow, guilt, terminal illness, and single parenthood. So many minute details are so expertly woven together that you are forced to read more quickly, but you find yourself wishing you could put things aside so you could spend more time with this adorable family.
Happily Letter After was undeniably adorable, but it was also a little odd because the heroine is practically a stalker who crosses lines and continually lies for a hot minute.
The hero then exhibits some creepiness and crosses some lines at the conclusion. Although I am aware that the story is a romantic comedy, several of their choices made me wince.
When you read the epilogue, the emotions that overtake you will make you feel really excited since the characters are so expertly constructed and will capture your heart from the very beginning.
Although I truly liked Sadie and Sebastian as people, there was one scene involving Sadie that had me rolling my eyes because it was so absurd. The star of the tale in my opinion was Sebastian’s daughter Birdie. She was so endearing and had such a large heart; she brought Sadie and Sebastian together.
Happily Letter After just met every expectation… Perhaps a little unrealistic, but who cares? Every word was enjoyable to me; I laughed, wept, cried, and swooned. And because of it, I had the opportunity to read a really remarkable book that will live on in my memory long after I’ve finished reading it.
Happily Letter After is an excellent option if you’re seeking a lovely yet heartfelt romance about love after grief and a second chance. Another amazing read from this great pair that no reader should miss.
