Once you get to know the characters, then you will begin to understand the story. A story in which they preserve the closeness to touch, and at the same time respect the distance so that they do not fall, so as not to break under the onslaught of that raw passion, brutal truth and undeniable charm.
There is no defeat or victory, there is only a feeling of fear or passion, masterfully intertwined in the story of Judith and Celian.
He, incredibly sexy, with self-confidence on which only the heights of the sky are the limit, cruelly honest, with a sharp tongue that cuts like a blade. She, pressed under the hardships of life itself, betrayed by the beloved, to the abyss called doom. They, without restraint of what is said and done to satisfy the raw passion and lust, which shakes their bodies like a fever. They share words, trying to outwit the other, sharing body fluids, trying to mark the other. They take, give, steal, keep something that is not theirs …….. They both keep something from the other. She, his money to ease her already cruel life, which tramples her senselessly. He, her music, to satisfy his interest, which miraculously envelops him after so long.
One night, and the night promises a lot. But will it be reduced to just one night?
They believe in it, but the belief is rejected in their head the moment they see each other in the workplace. She on her first day of work, he proudly incorporated into his everyday life. Lovers of one night …. now enemies, marked by that night, the real ones, without the veil of lies, under which they hid that night.
We get to know them, seeing in the depths of their beings. We get to know them, while the masterful words of this author allow us to see the world through their eyes.
We see him, obsessed with his own demons, slowly maturing through the vicissitudes of the book. How he tries to follow that predetermined path, which will finally bring him to his desired goal. Something he aspired to all his life. But is that the way to his happiness? We want to hate him, that asshole who spares no one from the cruelty of everyday life, that painfully handsome son of a bitch with a sharp mind and quick tongue, who does not care whom he will destroy on his way to his own doom. We see that other side, the emotionality and tenderness, hidden somewhere deep in that sculpted body, suppressed by the cruelty of its recent destiny.
We also meet her, how she bravely fights under the cruel gusts of her difficult fate. With serious backbone, she stands on the line and opposes all the injustices that face her in this harsh reality. With a broken heart, on the verge of losing the helm of her own life, surrendered, yet strong enough to sow kindness on all sides. Strong enough to love and swim to the shore of her salvation. Strong enough to say “No” when every cell of her being screams “Yes”.
Two strangers in a rainy night, seduced by unbearable attraction and raw passion, each with their own drivers … Then enemies, and lovers burning from the touch of their own hands, known to all around, friends and opponents of their already unusual relationship …..

Definitely, Dirty Headlines by L.J. Shen is a book not to be missed. I enjoyed every moment, every sentence of this masterful book that speaks of charm, passion, cruelty, fear and hope, two different worlds merged into one under the compulsion of love … I blushed as I read the descriptions of wild, raw, unreal magnetism between the two characters. I saw their world through their eyes, I dreamed together with them ….
Definitely wonderful …
