**** My Review ****
We all sometimes need to escape from the cruelty of our everyday life and believe in magic, at least for a few short hours to forget about everything and indulge in a more beautiful world …. This wonderful story offers all that and much more, a book that perfectly captures the magic of a wonderful holiday. Sweet and festive story that will put a smile on your face and warmth in your heart.
Ashley is a girl who sacrifices a lot to succeed in what she believes, to succeed in her life goals and everything seems to be just perfect, life in the big city, nice job and a perfect boyfriend …. The plans are just too perfect, a trip to the most romantic city in the world and a magical proposition she hopes for …. But what will happen when the perfect image in her head bursts like a soap bubble, when the perfect idyll disappears and the desire to return to her small town will be her only consolation? What will happen when she becomes magically attracted to the wonderful past and a man who manages to shake her to the core? The past and the present, two men, one woman and a decision that will change her life forever …
Definitely an emotional love story that will delight you and take you into that magical world of Christmas romance and second chance. Although this is the first time I have read something by this author, I believe it will not be the last. What immediately caught my attention was the absolutely beautiful cover page that conveys the message without words. Clear and beautiful style of expression, with rich descriptions that allow you to visualize all the places and scenes. Just as you read, you feel like you are watching a movie. The story is rather short, but doesn’t feel rushed or sloppy, it was just perfectly paced for me. I was also amazed by the well-developed characters, both Ashley and Aiden are awesome, Ashley as a strong, yet gentle heroine and Aiden the perfect hero- a small town, sexy firefighter. The secondary characters were really interesting and added to the appeal of this winter love story.
I have to admit that I love Christmas-themed books, especially around Christmastime. And believe me that Christmas Charms by Teri Wilson checks all the boxes- an idyllic small town, handsome ex-boyfriend, some Christmas magic and happily ever after, add some hot chocolate and you have a recipe for a perfect afternoon.
